ARRAY Releasing is dedicated to distributing and exhibiting independent films made by Black artists, people of color and women of all kinds. Since 2011, ARRAY has released over 37 films. Previous releases include FUNNY BOY by Oscar nominee Deepa Mehta; AINU MOSIR by Takeshi Fukunaga; Gotham and Spirit Award nominee and triple Tribeca Film Festival winner BURNING CANE from Phillip Youmans; SXSW Film Festival nominee JEZEBEL by Numa Perrier; award-winning Canadian indigenous feature THE BODY REMEMBERS WHEN THE WORLD BROKE OPEN written and directed by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Kathleen Hepburn; the critically acclaimed directorial debut of Samuel “Blitz” Bazawule’s THE BURIAL OF KOJO; Andrew Dosunmu’s Sundance Film Festival Official Selection RESTLESS CITY; Haile Gerima’s winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival ASHES AND EMBERS; and Official Sundance Film Festival Documentary Selection MERATA by Hepi Mita.
