SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for supporting the office of the President of ARRAY Filmworks who manages a slate of production work across a variety of mediums – film, television and audio – to bring dynamic stories to life. This role will serve as the President’s right and left hands for the creative side of the company’s production work but also requires an appreciation of the full lifespan of a project, from the seeds of an idea through development, production, post-production and dissemination. Candidates must have a passion for intentional storytelling along with an understanding of the thousands of tiny details required to support a successful project. Fastidious attention to detail, a demonstrated ability to cheerfully multi-task and a voracious appetite for learning are a must for this fast-paced entertainment environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide organizational oversight for the President of ARRAY Filmworks with a particular focus on the creative/development aspects of this pillar’s portfolio.
- Manage and prioritize the President’s daily responsibilities, assignments, approvals and meetings in lockstep with other members of the President’s and our company’s team.
- Coordinate all aspects of department’s executive schedules, including all meetings, calls and commitments on our Creative Campus and beyond.
- Answer phones for the department and log messages for executives.
- Manage and maintain department general industry contacts.
- Create and maintain department tracking grids, including a comprehensive and well-organized database of writers, directors, below-the-line crew with covering samples, credits, script notes, meeting notes, representation, and other relevant information as needed.
- Track scripted and unscripted television content. Keep department apprised of television industry news relating to studios, television series, showrunners, writers, directors, producers, industry deals, etc.
- Organize and store all project materials, story documents (e.g.: season arcs, episodic outlines, scripts), dailies, and episodic cuts.
- Participate in and take meticulous notes during calls, meetings and creative discussions.
- Provide professional coverage, notes and creative input on scripts, books and cuts, as assigned.
- Maintain database of incoming pitches.
- Research ideas, underlying IP, talent, and potential key production personnel hires, as needed.
- High level of correspondence required with timely responses.
- Coordinate and create detailed travel itineraries.
- Performing other related duties and projects, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Minimum 2-year full-time experience within a studio, network, or agency
- Capable of multitasking as well as thoughtful prioritization of work
- Passionate about storytelling and its social impact
- Comfortable with internal collaborations, communications and acting within part of the larger company team
