ARRAY 10 @ SUNDANCE

A Decade of Disruption

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY launched at Sundance Film Festival in 2011, and has actively challenged and disrupted systems of distribution, production and exhibition of film and television ever since.

Ignited by its mission to advocate, activate and amplify Black filmmakers, ARRAY has grown into a dynamic multi-platform narrative change collective, which champions all cinematic artists of color and women filmmakers.

To kick-off a year-long celebration, ARRAY Founder Ava DuVernay, President Tilane Jones and VP of Public Programming Mercedes Cooper explore ARRAY’s propulsive decade. Moderator Franklin Leonard of the Black List dives deep into the history of the collective’s Black women-led independent film disruption and social justice work.
