On April 30, only days after announcing its $250,000 grant program for women and creators of color, filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY will be presenting a daylong filmmaker tweet-a-thon in collaboration with Twitter.
Ava DuVernay’s Array is presenting its fourth filmmaker tweet-a-thon, Array Film Fellowship. The annual daylong social media event is set to kick off on April 30 at 9 am PT and will run for a staggering 10 hours and feature the voices of over 50 directors.
Most of Brazil’s most internationally-acclaimed films about black people were not produced or directed by Black Brazilians.
The film platform, from director Ava DuVernay, is hosting a weekly movie-viewing experience for the “global online community of cinephiles.”
