LOS ANGELES — The Eaton Fire has destroyed homes across Altadena, displacing families such as Susan and Darrell Carr, who are now navigating the overwhelming process of rebuilding.
At a recovery event hosted by filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s multi-platform arts and social impact collective ARRAY, experts shared tips to navigate the rebuilding process, including how best to document damage, file insurance claims and assemble a supportive team.
For residents, the event offered not only practical resources, but also a sense of community and hope to preserve Altadena’s rich culture.
